Kovacic Shines with a Brace as Manchester City Secures Thrilling 3-2 Victory Over Fulham

Mateo Kovacic scored twice to lead Manchester City to a 3-2 victory over Fulham in a thrilling Premier League match on Saturday.

This win lifted City's tally to 17 points from 7 matches, placing them second, just one point behind leaders Liverpool, while Fulham sits in sixth place with 11 points.

Despite City's early dominance, Fulham managed to take the lead in the 26th minute through a goal by Andreas Pereira, assisted by a brilliant backheel pass from Mexican striker Raul Jimenez. However, Kovacic equalized six minutes later, taking advantage of Fulham's failure to clear a corner kick, slotting the ball into the net.

Kovacic completed his brace in the 47th minute after receiving a pass from Jack Grealish, firing a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area into the goal. In the 82nd minute, Jeremy Doku added City's third goal with a powerful strike, marking his first goal of the season. Although Rodrigo Muniz reduced the deficit for Fulham in the 88th minute, City held on to secure the win.
