The Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool player, spoke about the possibility of extending his contract with his English team, as his current contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
Salah is eligible to negotiate with any team starting from next January, with the possibility of joining them for free next season.
Salah told Sky Sports: "Extending my contract with Liverpool? I don't think about it much. I have one season left. Let's enjoy it."
He added: "I'm not thinking about the new contract right now, I’m not thinking about anything. I don't want to think about next year or the future. Let's enjoy the season, and we'll see."
The captain of the Egyptian national team continued: "Each week is the most important thing. I just focus on one game at a time to feel happy here, and that's all."
Salah has shone in the first two rounds of the new Premier League season, scoring against Ipswich Town and Brentford.
Salah broke the second-round curse that had plagued him in the Premier League since he joined Liverpool, as for the first time in his career he scored in the first two rounds of the competition.
Salah has risen to fifth place in Liverpool's all-time top scorers at Anfield with 118 goals, surpassing Robbie Fowler. The list is topped by Ian Rush with 185 goals.
For the first time in his career, Salah has scored in the first two matches of the Premier League season. He has also become the player with the most goal contributions against Brentford in the Premier League, with 7 goals.
