Manchester United suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday in the second round of the Premier League against Brighton, while Manchester City made a comeback against Ipswich Town, turning a deficit into a wide victory.
Danny Welbeck opened the scoring for Brighton in the 32nd minute, with Ivorian Amad Diallo equalizing for United in the 60th minute, before Pedro snatched the three points in the 90+5 minute.
Brighton raised their tally to 6 points after defeating Everton 3-0 in the first round, while United endured their first loss after winning 1-0 against Fulham.
On the other hand, Manchester City overturned an early deficit at home against Ipswich Town, winning 4-1.
Ipswich took the lead through Sammie Szmodics in the 7th minute, but City responded with three goals in four minutes by Haaland and De Bruyne in the 12th, 14th, and 16th minutes, before Haaland added a fourth goal in the 88th minute.
Manchester City topped the Premier League standings with 6 points, while Ipswich sits in 19th place with no points.
