Liverpool star attacks Mohamed Salah

Graeme Souness, the former Liverpool legend, has once again criticized Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, accusing him of "cheating" and "disappearing in crucial moments."

Salah recently became the first player in Premier League history to score in nine consecutive opening matches, surpassing a group of legends in the league, including all-time top scorer Alan Shearer.

Salah had an impressive performance in his first match under Dutch manager Arne Slot, providing an assist for Diogo Jota and scoring the second goal in the match against Ipswich Town last Saturday.

However, Graeme Souness, a former Liverpool player and manager, believes that Salah has some issues. In an interview with "Talk Sport" radio, Souness stated, "Salah is trying to 'cheat.' He goes down too easily in the penalty area without reason to get a penalty, and to be fair, he's not the only player who does that."

Souness also mentioned that he would choose Salah in his all-time greatest Liverpool team due to his remarkable statistics, but at the same time, he accused him of disappearing in critical moments.

Souness said, "Salah is a good player, but not everything he does pleases me. For example, he disappears in tough situations when you expect him to provide solutions. That's a real issue he has."

Salah has entered the final year of his contract with Liverpool, meaning he can sign with any club starting January 1, 2025.
